The Association of Apple Computer Users & Groups...

AACUG champions these three missions:
  1. To Assist and Advance the success and proliferation of computer clubs who support owners and users of Apple Computer products.
  2. To provide user group services and opportunities to all owners and users of Macintosh computers, and their software and peripherals in remote locations where no user group support organization exists.
  3. To participate in Legislative, and Regulatory advocacy in the U.S. Federal Government for human interest causes concerning the user of computers, the Internet, and technology in general.

These three missions branch into a myriad of subcategories which reach far into the success of computer use in all walks of life. So many, in fact, they reach beyond the reasonable scope of this document.
The overall ideal is to build an independent community organization that provides the ever growing constituency of Apple Macintosh related computer users with
a strong organization for support, education and advocacy
an independent, community 'voice' in the technology industry, and
a recognized channel through which individuals can participate in the protection of their own personal rights and freedoms as computer users.
