Many people may advocate you to use anti-virus system in your systems. Have you ever wondered why this is so? Why should you use anti-virus systems when you don’t go to unknown sites? How can a virus enter your system? Also, how come there are still viruses entering your computer when you have already installed the anti-virus?

These are the questions which most of the people have. The reason why you have to use an anti-virus even if you don’t visit any unknown site is because it is not only through the sites that the virus can enter your network or system. It can enter your system through the external memory devices like the pen drive or the memory cards of cameras, etc.

In fact, any external gadgets you use have the capability of introducing security threats to your systems. This is why anti-virus is recommended to your systems. Also, you find that though there is anti-virus installed on the system, security threats still enter the system. This is because the anti-virus may be ineffective in destroying these new ones due to the fact that they are not programmed to destroy them.

A virus or for that matter any security threat can enter your computer through any external link. This would apply to all the memory cards and the internet. An anti-virus acts as a protector to the computer by detecting and destroying these threats. There are firewalls in the system by default which acts as a shield to these security threats.

Even with all these protections, some threats do manage to enter the system. This is because they are much more powerful. Their power makes them undetectable and so, the barriers pass them. It would be recommended to use the latest anti-virus available in the market as this would stop most of the threats.
